Early Life
Jubin was born in Dehradun in Uttarakhand. His parents are businesspersons. His father is active in the field of politics and likes music too. Jubin Nautiyal started showing an interest in music when he was just 4 years old. He studied till the 8th class in Dehradun's reputed school, St. Joseph's Academy. After that, he joined the Welham Boys' School. Jubin Nautiyal got a chance to study music at this school. He learned the basics of classical music and instrumental music at Welham's. Jubin Nautiyal learned how to play music on the harmonium and guitar. He also played the piano and drums in school. Jubin Nautiyal had become known to the people of Dehradun as a musician and singer when he turned 18. Jubin shifted to Mumbai and left Dehradun in 2007. Jubin Nautiyal did further studies at Mithibai College while training for music simultaneously.
Acting Career
Jubin Nautiyal was a contestant in the music competition X Factor, which was hosted on television in 2011. Although he didn’t become the winner, he got a position among the first twenty-five winners. The first song that Jubin Nautiyal sang in a Hindi movie was "Ek Mulakat". He sang the song for the movie "Sonali Cable" which was released in 2014. Jubin Nautiyal won the Mirchi Music Award for the music that he provided for the Bollywood movie "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" in 2015. He got this award for the song "Zindagi Kuch Toh Bata". Jubin Nautiyal also got an ITA Award for the song "Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh, Piyaji" for the movie of the same name. He won the Best Singer award for this.
