The new season of House of the Dragons has come and the second season has been launched with some new and interesting credits sequence. The reactions to the new addition have been different from the first season and the same has been critized. Earlier, the viewers were treated with the trail of blood winding through King Viserys’ model of Old Valyria. However, in the new credits, there is a fresh take on the much-alluded Dance of the Dragons.

In the second season, the sequence showcases an extra and over woven which makes this season show more narrative. It has focused on the Dance of the Dragons civil war. Earlier Targaryen historical instances are also shown up along with the blood trail.  Also the subtly integrated as the tapestry has stained over time. The composer Ramin Djawadi has shown such growth combined with a reworked Game of Thrones theme.

The co-creator and showrunner Ryan Condal in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter stated the reason for such change. He explained that it was the marvelous opening sequence for the original show that led them to put it the place. It was not like that they are placing it at the top but they wanted to continue the tradition of an evolving credit sequence that changes. He mentioned that the original show’s credits adapted to geographic changes across Westeros. So, the House of the Dragon was required to change and the focus was required to be shifted after the end of the season.

He mentioned that the chapter has been turned out and it’s a war and living history which is required to be presented in a better visual way. This will be something new being presented to the fans that can take part and drive into. New episodes of House of the Dragon Season 2 will be released every Monday, at 6:30 AM on JioCinema.
