The Jungle Book

The Jungle Book (2016), directed & produced by Jon Favreau is based on Rudyard Kipling's famous collection of stories and Walt Disney's animated adaptation of the same. The movie used extensive CGI in it's making for picturing the wildlife settings and animals, which has surely made it a visual treat to watch. The voice cast of the movie is quite impressive with Neel Sethi (Mowgli), Bill Murray (Baloo), Ben Kingsley (Bagheera), Idris Elba (Sharekhan), Scarlet Johansson (Kaa), LupitaNyong'o (Raksha) and Christopher Walken (King Louie).

Mowgli decides to leave the jungle to save the lives of wolves pack. In the way to the village, how Mowgli survives in the jungle, gets hypnotized by python, being saved by Baloo, the bond of Baloo and Mowgli, Mowgli's tricks to get honey for Baloo or to save the baby elephant, has been visualized so real that it pulls you in the jungle.

Most of the viewers might be familiar with the story of the movie which is about a young boy Mowgli who lost his biological parents in the jungle when he was an infant and was being brought to the pack of wolves by Bagheera. The pack of wolves with Raksha and their leader Akela looked after him and trained him with their own cubs. The movie gets its twist with the arrival of Sharekhan, who wanted to take revenge from humans for scaring him with fire, by killing Mowgli. 

The movie ends with the death of Sharekhan. The moments of Sharekhan’s are terrifying and are played very strongly which holds the sense of fear amazingly. The sound effects and the songs completely justify the atmosphere of wildlife. The visual effects look natural and impressive.
