Tandav Movie Review:
Tandav is a new web series that is political crime thriller series narrating the story of people involve in cat and mice race for the power in the political scenario. The series is a power pack political drama which is divided into 9 parts that narrates two stories. One story relates with the race for the ‘Kursi’ among various political and ambitious political leaders were everyone is ready to go with anything for the power. The real picture of any political scenario is depicted clearly where enemies are around looking for a chance to override others.
At one front is Samar Pratap, the role of which is played by Saif Ali Khan, who not even thinks of his father Devki Nandan (Tigmanshu Dhulia) and want to be next P.M. The other story that goes parallel with it is of Shiva the role of which is played by Zeeshan Ayub, a college student and activist. He comes forward to fight for farmer’s rights and has every quality of being a future political leader.
The other characters such as Dimple Kapadia is playing the role of Anuradha Kishore and she is also one who is in the power race. Kumud Mishra is playing a role of Gopal Das who is a senior party leader. Sunil Grover as Gurpal, who is Samar’s right hand, Gauahar Khan as Maithili, Anup Soni as Kailash, who is leader belonging to lower cast, Kritika Kamra as Sana, Sandhya, Dino Morea as a lecturer in the college. In every way, all these characters are connected to each other and involved in the game of politics.
Some of the real instances have been taken like the Vivekanand National University, which is somewhat related to Jawaharlal Nehru University, the student politics, the concept of azaadi and farmers protest etc. Overall when you judge it, when some strong series have been on the floor like Mirzapur and Scam 1992, Tandav overall not matched it.
