Early Life

Sonu Nigam is a well-known Bollywood singer, his father, Agam Kumar Nigam, is from Agra, and his mother, Shobha Nigam, is from Garhwal. Sonu Nigam has two sisters, Teesha and Meenal. Teesha is a singer. Meenal is a yoga expert who lives in Bangalore. Sonu Nigam started singing at the age of 4 when he sang Mohammad Rafi's famous song Kya Hua Tera Waada on the stage. He started accompanying his father to musical performances at parties and weddings. 

Sonu Nigam sang the title track of Mahabharata when he was just 16 years old in 1989. Later, at the age of 19, he moved to Mumbai with his father and family, where he started his singing career. Sonu Nigam was taught music by the classical music maestro Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan.
