Ravi Teja’s recently released movie is creating controversy over the dance moves of the song “Sitar” and the audience is criticizing it on various social media platforms.

In the song, the 56-year-old Ravi-Teja shares various romantic scenes with the 25-year-old female actress Bhagyasri Borse, in lively dance sequences. While the visuals as well as the catchy dance steps have been praised by a few people, still certain scenes have sparked criticism. This involves a dance move where Ravi Teja places his hands in Borse’s pockets from behind her Lehenga, which many have found inappropriate.

The recently released movie Mr. Bachchan, with Ravi Teja starring, had its paid premiere on the last evening, but early testimonials have been underwhelming. Apart from that, Director Harish Shankar has faced backlash for making various changes to the remake, which has not really sat well with some of the viewers. Along with this, the “Sitar” song from the movie “Mr. Bachchan” showcasing Ravi Teja and Bhagyasri Borse has sparked controversy on different social media platforms. The dance move, choreographed by Sekhar Master, has been criticized for being inappropriate, thus leading to a discussion during the movie’s success meeting about the perceived vulgarity in the sequence.

For this controversy, Harish Shankar explained, “That step was picturized on the very 1st day of the shooting. When viewed or prescribed as part of the entire dance sequence, it does not seem problematic or vulgar. However, when isolated as well as shared as a still, it can easily be misinterpreted. Any dance move from any song can be misconstrued in case captured in any screenshot.”

He further added, “When Shekhar Master choreographed that dance move, I did not find it specifically appealing, but I did not wish to suggest certain changes on the 1st day to avoid dampening spirits. This thing passed the censorship process because, within the dance sequence’s context, this thing didn’t seem pretty necessary to change.”
