Nimit Kotian is an Indian dancer and dance choreographer. Dance is his passion but apart from being a dancer, he is a multitalented guy. He is an actor, model, YouTuber, dance instructor, and content creator. Initially, he thought to pursue a Science stream in college but later he changed his mind and enrolled for a Commerce and Economics degree at H.R. College of Commerce and Economics. For giving professional choreography services in Weddings and entertainment, he started his own business by name of NIKO Entertainment (Wedding Choreography & Entertainment Services).

Nimit Kotian was greatly inspired by the dancing style of actor Hrithik Roshan. He loved the dance of the actor in the song ‘Ek Pal Ka Jeena’. At the age of sixteen, he started to dream to become a successful dancer. He participated in a dance competition in the year 2004. During his college days, he started choreographing for college teams. He also participated in several dance festivals when he was in college. After college, due to financial issues, Nimit Kotian could not pursue his dream and he opted for a full-time job. But his passion for dance did not stop. He wanted to take part in International dance events and he chose street dancing as a means to showcase his dance talent. With his talent, he got a position in a street dancing group and was part of the “Street Soul Dance Crew”. Here he also met with famous dancer Shantanu Maheswari. 

Nimit Kotian then started to learn a new dance style called popping. He collaborated with Shantanu Maheswari for participating in India’s first-ever pop battle organized by FNS. They won the first-ever ‘Indian Underground Duet Pop Battle.’ He also won the dance competition “Krump it up” in 2009 during his college time. 

Nimit Kotian was then known to people when he took part in his first dance reality show, called “Just Dance”. Afterward, he never looked back and started his career as a choreographer. He was also a choreographer in the dance reality television show Nach Baliye in 2014. “Dil Dosti Dance” gave Nimit Kotian recognition and his efforts were appreciated. For this drama series, he was nominated for the “Best Choreographer Award” at Indian Telly Awards 2012. He also got a chance to dance in his debut Hollywood film, “Heartbeats,” made under the direction of Duane Adler. He has conducted many dance workshops for students in Mumbai.
