Early Life

Salman Khan was born in Indore in Madhya Pradesh. His father, Salim Khan was a well-known writer in Bollywood. Sushila Charak is Salmans mother and the first wife of Salim Khan. The ancestors of Salman Khan are from Pakistan. They shifted to India in the mid-1800s to the city of Indore. Salim Khan's second wife is the famous actress Helen. Salman Khan has two younger brothers named Arbaaz and Sohail. He also has two younger sisters, Alvira and Arpita. Arpita is an adopted daughter of the family. 

Salman Khan studied in Mumbai. He was sent to St. Stanislaus High School. This school was located in Bandra. Arbaaz and Sohail also did their schooling at the same high school. Salman and Arbaaz also studied for some years in the well-known and prestigious Scindia School situated in MP in Gwalior. For higher studies and college, Salman Khan joined St. Xavier’s College, situated in Mumbai. However, he did not continue his studies and dropped out of college. 

Acting Career

Salman Khan has given stunning performances in a large number of movies. His first blockbuster movie is Maine Pyar Kiya, which was released in 1989 and is the biggest hit of that time. The movie was directed by Sooraj Barjatya. Salman Khan got the Best Male Debut Award for this movie by Filmfare. He played the romantic role of the main character Prem in it. The following years saw the release of many movies by Salman Khan that were liked by the fans. His movies went on to become a huge rage among the public. Incidentally, Salman Khan played the role of the hero, Prem, in another movie Hum Aapke Hain Kaun in the year 1994 by the same director Sooraj Barjatya. 

The actor was given a lead role in some of the topmost movies and he shined in the character of a romantic hero. People like Salman Khan for the portrayal of the character of a sensitive and charming hero in movies. He also looks funny and aggressive in some roles. Salman Khan gave another hit in the movie Bajrangi Bhaijaan in the year 2015. The movie made many records for that year. The movie Sultan was released in 2016 at the time of Eid. This Yash Raj Film got a good response from fans and critics.

Salman Khan began his acting career in 1989 with the movie Biwi Ho To Aisi. He was given a supporting role in the film. The movie Kuch Kuch Hota Hai was released in 1998, for which Salman Khan was given the Best Supporting Actor Award.  It is a famous Karan Johar movie. Salman Khan was given a role in the movie Dabangg as a fearless police officer. The movie was showcased in theaters on the occasion of Eid in 2010. The film got positive reviews and was commercially successful at the box office. It was the highest-earning movie for 2010. 

Many awards were given to this movie including a National Film Award. Dabangg got the Star Screen Award For Best Actor. Salman Khan was bestowed with Stardust Award for the male star of the year for the movie. A sequel to the movie was made later. The movie Tiger Zinda Hai in 2017 was a sequel of the movie Ek Tha Tiger. It was a hit movie of that time. Salman Khan is appreciated for his roles in action thriller movies. The actor has a production house and he produces films under its banner.
