Early Life
Salman Khan was born in Indore in Madhya Pradesh. His father, Salim Khan was a well-known writer in Bollywood. Sushila Charak is Salmans mother and the first wife of Salim Khan. The ancestors of Salman Khan are from Pakistan. They shifted to India in the mid-1800s to the city of Indore. Salim Khan's second wife is the famous actress Helen. Salman Khan has two younger brothers named Arbaaz and Sohail. He also has two younger sisters, Alvira and Arpita. Arpita is an adopted daughter of the family.
Salman Khan studied in Mumbai. He was sent to St. Stanislaus High School. This school was located in Bandra. Arbaaz and Sohail also did their schooling at the same high school. Salman and Arbaaz also studied for some years in the well-known and prestigious Scindia School situated in MP in Gwalior. For higher studies and college, Salman Khan joined St. Xavier’s College, situated in Mumbai. However, he did not continue his studies and dropped out of college.
Acting Career
Salman Khan has given stunning performances in a large number of movies. His first blockbuster movie is Maine Pyar Kiya, which was released in 1989 and is the biggest hit of that time. The movie was directed by Sooraj Barjatya. Salman Khan got the Best Male Debut Award for this movie by Filmfare. He played the romantic role of the main character Prem in it. The following years saw the release of many movies by Salman Khan that were liked by the fans. His movies went on to become a huge rage among the public. Incidentally, Salman Khan played the role of the hero, Prem, in another movie Hum Aapke Hain Kaun in the year 1994 by the same director Sooraj Barjatya.
