National School of Drama gets his new chairman - Actor Paresh Rawal to head the Chairmanship post
Appointed as chairman of National School of Drama by President Ram Nath Kovind.
Here is good news for the fans of versatile Bollywood actor Paresh Rawal as Actor has been appointed as the new chairman of India's Largest Drama & Training Institute 'National School of Drama'. The announcement of the same was made by Union Culture Minister of India Mr Prahlad Singh Patel. Taking his social media account he congratulated the actor for being appointed as Chairman of National School of Drama. He expressed his views by mentioning that with the presence of such a big and experienced Indian actor, the students and the artists of the school will be definitely getting benefits.
On the other hand, the Institute also posted on Twitter mentioning that they are glad to announce appointment of Padma Shri Paresh Rawal as chairman of NSD and with support it will surely reach new heights. Responding to his appointment the actor says that it will be challenging but at the same time will be fun. He further added that he will contribute to his best as this field is well known for him.
The acting career of Paresh Rawal began in the 80s, with his powerful acting skills he has won so much of love and respect in the Industry. He is known for his comic roles but with serious and negative roles he has proved himself. Some of his extraordinary performances can be seen in Naam, Tamanna, Aitraaz, OMG: Oh My God! and Table No. 21. For his two movies named Woh Chokri and Sir, he won the Best Supporting Actor National Film Award in the year 1994.
He has also won Padma Shri award. No doubt that he is one of the greatest talents evolved from national school of Drama. The others are Om Puri, Irrfan Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Pankaj Tripathi and Neena Gupta.
