In the series Zahan Kapoor is playing the character of Sunil Gupta. Initially, he was a shy and confused man, but he later grew into a confident person and became a determined jailer. He desired to bring reform and succeed as well.

The series Black Warrant is a pure web series showcasing what the prison world looks like. It has shown how prisoners are treated based on their caste, religion and money. It also narrates how the prisoners are treated by the jail authorities. They are just considered inhuman. One scene is presented very well, which includes a research scholar who comes to Tihar jail to get a psychological insight into the minds of prisoners. To this, a prisoner said “Why do you want to do research on people like us, struck in a cage, are we animals?”

Talking about the character of Zahan Kapoor, it is very strong. He is playing a vulnerable young man who does not have any features like a tough jailor capable of controlling the prison inmates. But after some time he becomes more confident. The way the characters have been written is just wow. Both Anurag Thakur and Paramveer Cheema have done a great job. Saumyananda Sahi’s cinematography is the other best thing of the series. The way he has recreated the 80’s atmosphere and grittiness of the prison portions is just next level. So, this web series becomes a must-watch for the audience who have an interest in real life incidents.
