Marvel's first-ever Asian Protagonist film constructed on Marvel Comics character Shang-Chi
Since the year 2001, Shang-Chi film was on plan but could not be executed for some of the other reasons. With the hiring of Chinese-American writer David Callaham (Man behind the screenplay) and Destin Daniel Cretton (Japanese-American director) in early 2019, director of the movie, the project took a swift move. In February 2020, filming began with locations including Los Angeles and Australia. However, with amidst of Covid-19 the production came to a standstill.
Marvel's first film with an Asian lead is soon going to be on the big screens produced by Marvel Studios. It is intended to be the 26th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures and Motion pictures.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is scheduled to be released in the United States on May 7, 2021, as part of Phase Four of the MCU as confirmed by Marvel at San Diego Comic-Con 2019.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings stars Simu Liu, a skilled martial artist as Shang-Chi and against him Tony Leung as Mandarin, leader of a terrorist group named Ten Rings.
The origin of Shang-Chi:
Kwai Chang Caine from the television series Kung Fu - is the origin of inspiration for creating a Chinese-American Shang-Chi. Shang-Chi has been depicted as the boy with heroic powers the son of Fu-Manchu villain (who was licensed by Marvel Comics at the time).
Who is Shang-Chi?
Master of Kung Fu, seeks harmony and peace in the world while opposing those who have evil intentions. Cult fit body, fighting skills powered by martial arts; strength and intelligence are the powers of Shang-Chi. After a series of the happenings with XMen, Captain America and Iron Man have a goal to make a bigger, new and stronger Avengers team. Shang-Chi was the first one chosen for this initiative.
The special power of Shang-Chi:
Cloning makes our superhero different and enhancing factor proving to be an edge over enemies. While in the series of comics he could clone himself to do anything and everything, a slightly different approach has been used i.e. Shang-Chi can only clone himself into various versions during a fight sequence. This change has been brought out with the view to Marvel-is fighting scenes.

In the Marvel Studios, Shang-Chi is the first and foremost film with an Asian Protagonist superhero.
In a tweet of December 2018, Simu Liu asked about the role to the Marvel. And on 20, July he thanked them for the same.
Another thought fans are having in mind are those Ten Rings of wedding rings, however, it something more exciting and interesting to know about. And that’s worth waiting for. Master of Kung Fu, Shang-Chi against baddie villain, Mandarin will lead to complete drama, power-packed fighting and action sequences.
