Alexandra Daddario is a well-known American Actress. She is a wonderful actress and is admired by people. She has done a number of movies and also given guest appearances in television series.
Early life
Alexandra was born in New York City. Her mother, Christina, is a lawyer and her father Richard Daddario, is a prosecutor. She has a younger brother, Mathew Daddario and a younger sister, Catharine Daddario, who are also actors. Her paternal grandfather, Emilio Q. Daddario was a democratic member of the U.S House of Representatives for Connecticut from the year 1959 to 1971. She completed her education at Brearley School and the Professional Children’s School. At the age of just 11, she was very clear about her aim and she wanted to be an actress. She joined Marymount Manhattan College and also studied Meisner acting technique for years.
Career and filmography
Alexandra made her television debut at the age of 16, with ABC daytime soap opera All My Children in which she played the character of victimized teen Laurie Lewis. The first biggest project which she signed was as Annabeth Chase in the adventure film Percy Jackson and The Olympians: TheLightening Thief, which was inspired by Rick Riordan’s bestselling teen books. She appeared in USA Network’s drama series White Collar as Neal Caffrey’s love interest. In 2011, she was also part of the comedy film Hall Pass and in a comedy-drama series Parenthood as Rachel.
Alexandra has appeared in many music videos. In January 2013, she starred in the music video for Imagine Dragon’s song Radioactive, which gained huge popularity on YouTube and crossed 1 billion views. She gave a guest appearance in an episode of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia of FX sitcom. She got a lead character in Texas Chainsawafter her role in Percy Jackson. She beautifully played the role of Annabeth Chase in the film sequel of Percy Jackson: sea of monsters (2013). She also appeared in Burying the Ex which was premiered in 2014 at the Venice Film Festival.
The cast of first season of the HBO anthology series True Detective also included Alexandra and she gained attention for her role as Lisa Tragnetti, a court reporter having an extramarital affair with one of its characters. The nudity scenes done by her was the point of attraction. She gained much popularity in 2010s and the following year she had a lead role in the disaster film San Andreas as Black Gaines and made a cameo appearance in ‘The Last Man on Earth’. Playing a role of a fictionalised version of a designer, she marked a guest appearance in American Horror Story: Hotel.
Further in the year 2016, she appeared in a supporting role in The Choice, which was a romantic drama film based on a book by Nicholas Sparks. She starred in Baywatch, and also appeared in the road trip comedy film The Layover. The actress was also seen in the music video Wait (2018) by Maroon 5 and also appeared in many movies in the same year which included When We First Met, Rampage, We Have Always Lived in the Castle, and Night Hunter, lattermost was premiered at the LA Film Festival.
In 2019, Alexandra starred Can You Keep a Secret and produced We Summon the Darkness. Her voice as Lois Lane in the superhero film Superman: Man of Tomorrow is so good. She appeared in Lost Girls and Love Hotels, Songbird and has signed a movie, Die in Gunfight. She also has given her voice to the video games Battlefield Hardline and Marvel Avengers Academy.
