Introduction

Ananya Pandey is an Indian actress and daughter of Bollywood actor Chunky Pandey. She started her acting journey in Bollywood with the film Student of the year 2 in the year 2019. Then she also signed a comedy and family drama film in the same year called Pati Patni Aur Woh. She has just started her career in the film industry and at the beginning itself, she is receiving enormous love from the audience. Due to her great performance in her first two films, she won the Filmfare award for the best female debut. 

Early Life

Ananya Pandey was born in a family that was having a close connection with the Indian film Industry. She is the daughter of actor Chunky Pandey and Bhavna Pandey, who is a costume designer. Since her childhood, she was familiar with the industry. She completed her schooling at Dhirubhai Ambani International School in 2017. She had an interest in the fashion world from an early age only and this motivated her to take part in various fashion events. One of the most popular ones was Vanity Fair's Le Bal des debutantes. She participated in this event in Paris in 2017. 

Acting Career

Ananya Pandey started her acting in the year 2019. She was launched by Dharma productions with the film Student of the year 2 which was a teen-centric film. The co-stars in the films were Tiger Shroff and Tara Sutaria. The film did not perform as per the expectation at the box office; however, the performance of Ananya Pandey was good in the film. The next film in which she was seen is Pati Patni Aur Woh. The film was the remake of an earlier film released in the year 1978 with the same name. In this film, she portrayed the role of a girl who had an affair with a married man (Kartik Aaryan). 

Bhumi Pednekar played the role of the wife in the said film. The film did very well at the box office and audiences loved the film. Ananya Pandey’s received her first award for these two movies in the category of Best female debut at the Filmfare award. In the year 2020, she did an action film called Khaali Peeli in which Ishaan Khatter was his co-star. She also appeared in the music video "Kudi Nu Nachne De", which was a promotional song for Hindi film Angrezi Medium. In the year 2022, Ananya Pandey has seen in yet another romantic drama movie Gehraiyaan. Deepika Padukone and Siddhant Chaturvedi were the co-stars with Ananya Pandey in this film. The movie was released over Amazon Prime. The film did not receive a positive response from the audience. 

Contribution to other fields

Apart from acting, Ananya Pandey is also working in the social field. She initiated the creation of an awareness of social media bullying, preventing the spread of negativity and forming a positive community. This was called the “So Positive” initiative launched by the actress in the year 2019. This was awarded initiative of the year by Economic Times awards. She is also the brand ambassador of Lakme and Gillette Venus.

The actress, Ananya Pandey has a long way to go in the Bollywood Film Industry. She continued to work hard and amaze the audience with her performance. She is one of the most desirable women in India.
