Introduction

Ankita Lokhande is a famous daily soap actress popularly known for her brilliant performance in  Balaji Telefilm’s daily show ‘Pavitra Rishta’ aired on Zee TV. Since Pavitra Rishta was Ankita Lokhande’s debut show, she became an ideal ‘bahu’ of every Indian household. Because of the immense love that she got from her audience, Ankita Lokhande also made her way to the big screen. And she was loved by the people the same way she got in daily soaps. Because of Ankita Lokhande’s versatility in every performance and skills to ace any role, she became everyone’s favorite.

Early Life

Ankita Lokhande was born into a middle-class Marathi family in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. She is the loving daughter of Mr. Shashikant Lokhande and Mrs. Vandana Pandis Lokhande. Ankita Lokhande’s father is a banker whereas her mother is a teacher. She also has one brother Mr. Sooraj Lokhande and a younger sister Jyoti Lokhande. Ankita’s real name is Tanuja Lokhande, but she is fondly accepted and loved as Ankita Lokhande by everyone.

Ankita Lokhande completed her schooling and graduated both from Indore. And later after completing her studies, she moved to Mumbai in 2005 to pursue her dreams of acting. When Ankita was in school she was also very active in sports such as swimming and badminton. Even Ankita Lokhande has been a state-level badminton player in her educational days. 

Ankita Lokhande belonged to a middle-class family but she had dreams in her eyes to do something big in her life. She chased her dreams and later became the most loving actress of all time. 

Acting career

After moving to Mumbai in 2005, Ankita Lokhande participated in Idea Zee Cinestar's from 2006 to 2007. After that she was all set to perform in a leading daily soap called ‘Baali Umar ko salaam' however things couldn't work in her favor and she couldn't continue with the show. But lesser she knew that she has big things to come on her way?

In 2009, Ankita Lokhande was chosen for Balaji telefilm’s show called Pavitra Rishta as a leading role. The show was directed by everyone’s favorite Ekta Kapoor. There was no going back since then. Ankita made an everlasting impression on the hearts of the viewers of the show and everyone was in complete love with how Ankita Lokhande performed. She was even awarded multiple times for her performance in the show and soon Ankita Lokhande became the top paid television actress. She was a part of the show till it ended in 2014.

Along with her career growing through Pavitra Rishta Ankita Lokhande also participated in a dance show called ‘Jhalak Dikhla Jaa' in the year 2011. The same year she also debuted in Comedy Circus. In 2013, she also appeared in a mini-series called Ek Thhi Naayka, directed by Ekta Kapoor. 

After being a successful actress in TV shows, Ankita Lokhande also tried her luck on the big screen. She starred in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's movie ‘Padmaavat’ in 2018. Later she also made an appearance on the big screen through a movie called’ Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’ in 2019 and ‘Baaghi 3’ in 2020.

Filmography

Ankita Lokhande made it to the heart of her audience through Pavitra Rishta. She stuck to that show till 2014. She also appeared in some of the other television shows during the course. Ankita Lokhande received a lot of appreciation from her fans throughout her career. Later in 2018, Ankita Lokhande decided to step towards the big screen, and she aced there as well. Ankita starred in movies like Padmaavat, Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, and Baaghi 3. All the movies were from the names that everyone wishes to work with.
