Introduction
Sai Pallavi, by profession, is an actress. She is working in South Film Industry and has worked in Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam films. She is also a well-known dancer. She is one of the most talented actresses and her work has been praised through many awards and recognition. Pallavi has received two Filmfare Awards for the films Premam (2015) and Fidaa (2017). Some of the best films she has worked in are Middle-Class Abbayi, Maari 2, Love Story, and Shyam Singha Roy.
Early life
Sai Pallavi belongs to a Badaga family in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Her hometown is Kotagiri situated in Nilgiris district, Tamil Nadu. Her father's name is Senthamarai Kannan and her mother’s name is Radha, She also has a younger sister, Pooja, who is also an actress. She completed her early education at Avila Convent School. She is brilliant at studies and also completed her medical studies at the Tbilisi State Medical University. Still the actress has not enrolled as a medical practitioner (doctor) in India. Recently in the year 2020, she took Foreign Medical Graduate Examination which was conducted in Trichy. In spite of having a such good educational background, her love for Cinema encouraged her to act in films and make it a career. She knows many languages also such as Tamil, English, Hindi, and Georgian languages.
Career
Sai Pallavi, in the early stage of her career, wanted to do something related to dance. She was not a trained dancer but was having a keen interest in it. Therefore she participated in many dance reality shows also like Ungalil Yaar Adutha Prabhu Deva on Vijay TV in 2008 and Dhee Ultimate Dance Show. She was also a finalist in the later show. She was supported by her mother while she was following her passion for dance.
Sai Pallavi was first seen as child artist in Kasthuri Maan and Dhaam Dhoom. Sai’s first film in a lead role was Premam. It was directed by Alphonse Puthren. The film was offered to her when she was pursuing her education in Tbilisi, Georgia. Her performance was loved by the audience and she received several awards for her debut film which includes Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. She continued her education also during this time. She used to take a break from her studies and do the shootings of the films. Continuing the same, Sai Pallavi also signed a film called Kali, which was released in March 2016. She played the role of a wife who is dealing with the anger issues of her husband. For this film, she was also nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Actress – Malayalam.
In the year 2017, Sai Pallavi’s acting career got much more established. In 2017, for the first time, she appeared in Telugu Film Fidaa. She portrayed the role of Bhanumathi, a lively village girl from Telangana. Her performance in the film was appreciated and included in the top 100 Greatest Performances of the Decade" by Film Companion. This film brought her the Filmfare Award for Best Actress - Telugu. Her next film was Diya, which was released in both Tamil and Telugu languages. The film worked average. Sai Pallavi also worked in the Tamil movie Maari 2. Her Padi Padi Leche Manasu with Sharwanand did not work and was a big flop. She also did a Netflix film Paava Kadhaigal. Sai Pallavi’s 2021 release was Love Story opposite Naga Chaitanya. This was a romantic film and it was another time when she team up with Sekhar Kammula.
