IPL betting scandal; After Arbaaz’s Confession, Sajid Khan Emerges As Another Bollywood Name To Be Involved

A few days ago news trolled about actor- director Arbaaz Khan and producer Parag Sanghvi that they were found engaged in Indian Premier League Betting Racket, but now the news is coming that they are not the only one but there is one another Bollywood name also that has emerged in the Indian Premier League betting scandal. The AEC has been trying to crack the case and has been actively interrogating suspects and gathering information on the IPL betting scandal. Another Bollywood name that is coming for being allegedly involved is of none other than Filmmaker Sajid Khan, who has recently emerged in connection to the IPL betting racket. This took place just three days after Arbaaz’s involvement in IPL betting racket confession and this fresh development was disclosed by Anti-Extortion Cell of Thane police.

Sajid Khan is a brother of noted Bollywood choreographer Farah Khan, who has blockbusters like Om Shanti Om, Main Hoon Na and others and has directed many a films like Housefull, Himmmatwala, Hamshakals etc.

Sonu Jalan,the focus point of the racket in an interrogation, told investigators that filmmaker Sajid Khan was one of his clients and he used to place bets for. Here one should note that Sonu Jalan alias Sonu Malad is believed to be one of the top bookies of the country, and is said to run an international gambling operation and reportedly has connections with don Dawood Ibrahim.  However, Sonu also said that he had not placed any bets for the past seven years. The police said they will investigate the involvement of Sajid Khan and then decide if he needs to be questioned or not. Earlier when Sonu Jalan named Arbaaz, he confessed to cops that he had lost Rs 2.8 crore in betting. Along with this about 7 people from the film industry were introduced to Sonu Jalaan by Arbaaz himself. The identity of these allegedly involved people hasn't been disclosed and new developments are yet to be unveiled.

However Arbaaz revealed that he had been receiving threats from Sonu Jalaan alias Sonu Malaad. So now a new case has been registered as well against Sonu Jalaan and Ravi Pujari.
