Irrfan's son Babil khan film Qala is all set to release on Netflix
After bulbbul, this will be a second project that is produced by Anushka Sharma.
Irrfan’s son Babil Khan is all set to enter Bollywood by his debut film Qala. It is also a great opportunity for him to start with Anushka Sharma as the film is produced by Anushka Sharma and her brother Karnesh Sharma's production house, Clean Slate Filmz.
Before this project, Anushka Sharma's production house has also produced bulbbul in 2020 which received appreciation from the audience.
Besides Babil khan, the main cast of the film also includes Tripti Dimri, whose acting skills has already won the heart of the audience in the Netflix movie bulbbul as bulbbul, and Swastika Mukherjee. Qala is directed by Anvitaa Dutt.
The film will release on Netflix and its very first teaser has already been released on Netflix.
The first teaser is also shared by Babil on his Instagram, where he wrote about the film and his co-star that Tripti freaking Dimri is back again!!!!!! Whooooooo!!! (and a little bit of me) Also, I’m a bit skeptical about the phrase ‘getting launched’ because the audience should launch off their seats while watching our film and not any individual actor. ‘From the creators of Bulbbul, Clean Slate Filmz and Anvita Dutt, we bring you #Qala, a Netflix Original film. Qala will be here soon to share her story of her fight for a place in her mother's heart.”.
Talking about the film, the director Anvitaa said that the story is “about a daughter who craves her mother’s love.".
Irrfan Khan was a great actor who gave many hits and amazing movies to Bollywood. He died on April 29 because of a neuroendocrine tumour. It will be great to see his son on-screen.
