Kangana Ranaut and Rangoli Chandel plea in the Supreme Court to move her case from Mumbai to Shimla

The sisters approached the Supreme Court to move cases because they have life threat.

The sisters, Kangana Ranaut and Rangoli Chandel approached the Supreme Court to plea to transfer four criminal cases running against them in many courts of Mumbai to Shimla.

The sisters mentioned the reason for this transfer in her plea filed by their advocate Neeraj Shekhar that “The petitioners” means the sisters “ face a threat on their life. It is a threat for them,  if the trials proceed in Mumbai, because of a personal vendetta of Shiv Sena leaders against the petitioner herein,"

Kangana and Rangoli have alleged that all the four cases against them are trivial and filed with vicious intent only to harass them and tarnish their public image.

The four criminal cases for whom trials Kangana and Rangoli asking to transfer from Mumbai to Shimla includes Bollywood lyricist, Javed Akhtar case for defamation. Kangana spoke something about Javed Akhtar in an interview with Republic TV's Arnab Goswami against which Javed filed the defamation case against her.

Another case is filed against Rangoli Chandel by a lawyer, Ali Kashif Khan Deshmukh. This whole case started upon the tweet posted by Rangoli Chandel in which, expressing her anguish at the attack on doctors who went for a Corona check-up of the family of a man who had passed away due to Covid.

The third case filed against both the sisters Kangana Ranaut and Rangoli Chandel on a similar subject matter as the above-mentioned before the 66th Metropolitan Magistrate, Andheri, Mumbai.

The fourth case is an FIR lodged against the sisters by Munawar Ali. The FIR lodged at the Bandra Police station. The case is about the tweets posted by Kangana and Rangoli against the Maharashtra government. The FIR mentioned the case for offences of hurting religious sentiments, promoting enmity between religious groups and sedition.
