Know more about Ekta Kapoor’s reality show Lock Upp contestants

Indian television queen Ekta Kapoor has come up with a new TV reality show called Lock upp. She has collaborated with Actress Kangana Ranaut for this show. With this show, Kangana has made her digital debut and heading the show as the host of the show. Both the queens have promised that the contestants are well known for their controversies and this was the reason to include them in the show. The show is gaining popularity due to contestants’ confessions related to their personal life. Let’s see the list of contestants for the show. 

Poonam Pandey

Poonam Pandey is a well-known actress and model. She is always in the limelight due to her fashion sense, bold statement, and controversies. She married her long-term partner Sam Bombay but then she filed a case against him for molestation and assault. She was also arrested in a porn racket case.

Nisha Rawal

Nisha Rawal is an Indian TV actress popular for her role Soumya Diwan in Main Laxmi Tere Aangan Ki. She was also seen in 'Shaadi Mubarak’. She was on top headlines when she filed a domestic violence case against her husband Karan Mehra. She alleged that her husband has an extramarital affair. Mehra disagreed with it and claimed that she fabricated all things. 

Munawar Faruqui

He is a stand-up comedian and got arrested in Indore in January 2021 for hurting the religious sentiments during his all-India tour. He joked about the Hindu religion and some political leaders. Also, his one show was not permitted in Bengaluru due to the Hindu rights protest. 

Babita Phogat

Babita is a wrestler by profession. She is a less controversial contestant on the show. She won gold for India in the women's freestyle 55 kg division at the 2014 Commonwealth Games. She was a contestant on the dance reality show show 'Nach Baliye 9'. Later she also joined politics and associated with JBP. 

Karanvir Bohra

The other participant in the show is Karanvir Bohra. He is a TV actor, designer, and producer. He worked in several TV serials like Naagin 2, Qubool Hai, and Saubhagyavati Bhava. He also did some movies like Love Yoou Soniye and Kismat Konnection. He was also part of Big Boss.

Swami Chakrapani

He is one of the contestants from the spiritual group. He is the President of Akhil Bharath Hindu Mahasabha. Earlier he was in limelight for his ‘gomutra party’ during the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic. He also targeted the slaughtering of animals and non-vegetarian eating habits, as the reason for the pandemic. 

Saisha Shinde

She is one of the most successful and popular Indian fashion designers. She was earlier known as Swapnil Shinde and came out as transgender in 2021. In the past few months, she has talked much about her struggle on social media platforms and in interviews.

Siddharth Sharma

A well-known face that is part of many reality shows like 'Big F' and 'Splitsvilla'.

Payal Rohatgi, Shivam Sharma, Anjali Arora, and Tehseen Poonawala are also some of the contestants who are part of this show.
