Movie producers are welcoming Government’s decision to operate cinema halls & theatres with 50% seating capacity
Big Bollywood names came in support of reopening decision after the announcement.
With the fresh guidelines to re-open cinemas halls and multiplexes with 50% seating capacity, movie producers have welcomed the brave move taken by the ministry of home affairs of India.
On a public note, the ministry of home affairs said that areas that are outside the contentment zones are allowed to open single-screen theatres and movie malls from October 15 with the standard guidelines to follow.
Siddharth Anand Kumar the vice president of films and events at Saregama India Pvt Ltd confirmed in the presentation that “We welcome the brave step taken by the ministry of home affairs of our country to allow movie theatres to reopen with up-to 50% of the seating capacity from 15th of October 2020. The movie industry has been going through the hard times just as other sectors of the economy. Millions of people who are associated with this industry directly or indirectly will surely translate huge surge of optimism. Now, we have to move forward & accept the new normal after coronavirus outbreak. We can fight with this together.”
Will be operating under standard operating procedures
From the officials of Information & Broadcasting Ministry of the country it has been released that single-screen theatres & multiplexes will be allowed to reopen after months of shutdown. They are allowed to have at most 50% of their seating capacity with standard operating procedures to follow. Apart from that state government are asked to make the amendments on their respective places if desired.
Apart from that many Bollywood celebrities have also expressed their love & support by welcoming the steps taken by the government to reopen the theatres. Also, they have requested all to respect safety precautions decided by each state government so that theatres will stay safe & deliver premium level entertainment for the audience.
