Rapper Badshah gets trapped in buying fake You-Tube views, likes and followers; Badshah denies
To set records for music video “Pagal Hai”; Badshah accused of buying fake views.
The news of buying fake likes and views by the Indian famous rapper Badshah was out when the Mumbai police cracked a scam of groups that creates and sells fake likes and followers over the social media platform. The investigation to the said case started when singer Bhumi Trivedi reported Mumbai police about her fake profile in social media.
The Mumbai police have accused the rapper of paying a huge sum of Rs. 72 lakhs to a racket that creates fake views, likes and followers. Badshah has been alleged in connection with his video Pagal Hai, where he tried to break the record of most watched video that was set by Taylor Swift and the Korean boy band BTS. His video Pagal hai had 75 million views within 24 hours of its release. During questioning with the police, it was reported that he confessed that he wanted to create a record and therefore he paid 72 lakhs to that group.
But the actor has denied all the allegations and said that he has extended his cooperation to the cop in the said matter and has done due diligence from his end. He added that he has clarified to police and explained that he has never been involved in such practice. He mentions that he has faith in the authorities and he expressed gratitude towards people concern about him.
It was also informed by the police that his other songs are also under scrutiny for the same reason that are being posted on different social media. The various Social media market firms and portals that provide service of generating fake views, likes, profiles, followers and comments by using fake accounts are also under strict surveillance by the police.
