Sidharth Malhotra's next Kargil based film will soon hit the Theatre
The film is going to be release on July 2, of this year announcement made by Karen johar.
Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani's next Kargil based movie Shershaah will soon release in theatres on July 2. The movie is a biopic of Param Vir Chakra awarded Captain Vikram Batra for whom the code name Shershaah was used during the war. He had laid down his life during the Kargil War between India and Pakistan in 1999.
This award was also given posthumously which is also India’s highest military award and delivers the story of his bravery and sacrifice. In the film, the female lead role is played by Kiara Advani who was going to be seen as Captain Vikram Batra's fiancee Dimple Cheema.
Shershaah shooting was started in 2019 in Kargil but due to lockdown, the project had to be put on hold earlier last year. When the lockdown removed the project resumed the shoot post and now the film is completed.
The announcement of the releasing is made by the Shershaah producer Karen johar through Twitter. He also shared two posters of the film and wrote "The larger than life untold true story of Captain Vikram Batra (PVC) is ready to be unravelled on the big screens.” Continued in his post he again wrote “We’re honoured to be showing this journey - #Shershaah in cinemas on 2nd July 2021.”
One of the uploaded posters shows Sidharth in an army uniform, in the middle of the war with other soldiers and the other showed his face emotion.
This film is directed by Vishnu Varadhan with which he is going to debut in Bollywood and written by Sandeep Shrivastava
Besides Shershaah, Sidharth also will be seen in Thank God and Mission Majnu. While Kiara Advani’s upcoming releases include Jug Jugg Jeeyo and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.
