Simmba' roars its way to success, enters Rs 100 cr Club
Simmba did better than the box office forecast in India.
Rohit Shetty directorial Bollywood movie Simmba starring Ranveer Singh, Sara Ali Khan and Sonu Sood has recently celebrated its success for entering the 100 crore club in just 5 days of its operation. Simultaneously, in next 7 days of operation, it has triumphantly entered the film club that has earned 2 hundred crores rupees of revenue in India. This is the third film that reached this level, in 2018, apart from "Sanju" and "Padmaavat". In the movie, Ranveer Singh has putted himself in the shoes of Sangram Bajirao, a cop better known as Simmba. Ranveer Singh now has two films at the Two hundred crore Club ("Padmaavat" and "Simmba").
"Simmba" is the 17th member of the Two Hundred Crore Club.
Simmba did better than the box office forecast in India. Rohit Shetty's film garnered Rs 100 crores in first 5 days. It continues to make interesting recipes, even after a week. The film broke through 50 crores Rs in three days, Rs 100 Crores in five days, Rs 150 crores in seven days and Rs 175 crores in ten days. As per the US Box Office, Simmba grossed $ 5.1 million in the first 5 weeks of programming and $ 1.7 million in the first weekend.
The film has an added advantage, there was no big film releasing on the same weekend. A movie by Rohit Shetty and Karan Johar, it is a solid packed entertainer that was well praised by the film critics.
