Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 featuring Kartik Aaryan & Kiara Advani, to resume shooting by September, 2020

The COVID-19 pandemic has stopped the shooting of many films due to complete lockdown. However, the lockdown is being relaxed in different stages and some states also have given relaxation to begin shooting of films with minimum crew. Talking about the sequel film of Akshay Kumar’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa which stars Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani, the makers of the film have confirmed that the film shall resume its shooting by September 2020 with proper guidelines and safety measures to be followed on film sets. The shooting of the movie was going in Lucknow before the lockdown and still around 35 days work is left to be completed.

Anees Bazmee, the Director of the movie informed that a huge set is made in Lucknow and is still unattended after the lockdown in these months. It needs to be continued from there for the remaining part of the film. He also mentioned that safety of the cast and crew is most important for us and looking into that the film shall resume its remaining shooting only if the Government of UP permits. 

The movie is the sequel of hit movie Bhool Bhulaiyaa that came in the year 2007 which featured Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Shiney Ahuja, Paresh Rawal and Amisha Patel. This time Kartik Aaryan has stepped into the shoes of Akshay Kumar. Kartik has been featured in a poster that looks similar to that of previous one of Akshay Kumar. Kiara about the movie said she is super excited to join Kartik and to be part of this movie. It is for the first time she is working with Director Anees Bazmee. The movie was earlier scheduled to be released on 31st July.
