Introduction
Janhvi Kapoor is star born child to famous actress Sridevi and producer & director Boney Kapoor. Since childhood, she was familiar with the Industry and is very inspired by her late mother Sridevi. This young actress made her debut in the year 2018 with the Hindi movie Dhadak and the movie was a hit. Janhvi has always been in limelight due to her fashion sense and her soft nature in the industry. She also did Netflix film ghost stories and appeared in Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl in the year 2020.
Early life
Khushi Kapoor is her sibling. Her two half-siblings are actor Arjun Kapoor and Anshula Kapoor. She belongs to a complete Bollywood actor’s family that includes Anil Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor. She has done her schooling at Dhirubhai Ambani International School in Mumbai. Before starting her journey as an actress she took an acting course at Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in California.
Film career
Janhvi Kapoor took her entry into the Bollywood industry with Shashank Khaitan’s directed romance movie Dhadak. The movie was the debut movie of both Janhvi and Ishaan Khatter. The movie was the remake of the Marathi film Sairat. In the movie, she played the role of an upper-class family girl who falls in love with a lower-class boy who is played by Ishaan. Although the movie received negative remarks, it still the movie managed to be a financial success. Janhvi received an average response. Some of the critics said she lacks performance and delivers a colorful performance. For her first movie itself, she received Zee Cine awards for best female debut in the same year.
The actress was not seen in good front by the people still some liked her. The actress took a serious role in her next movie which was a biopic of Gunjan Saxena. In Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil girl, she was playing the lead role. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the movie does not meet theatres and the makers opted for the OTT platform. Janhvi underwent hard training during the movie. She spent time with Gunjan Saxena and learned the way she used to be in the zone. She had physical training. After the release of the movie, mixed reviews came. Some said she was disappointed while some said she did pitch-perfect. Till now she has been in a few movies only. She also appeared in the movie Angrezi Medium with the song Kudi Nu Nachne De
Janhvi Kapoor is also the brand ambassador for cosmetic brand Nykaa. Being a young and star kid, there is a lot of expectation from the audience. Many of the viewers look for an impression of her mother in her. It is expected that she will be having some great movies on her list and she will be loved by the audiences.
