Janhvi Kapoor's upcoming film “Gunjan Saxena” ready to reach Audience through OTT Platform, Netflix

Bollywood has always been at the forefront in acknowledging some of the real stars and heroes of India by featuring them in their movies. It has taken initiatives to share their stories and inspiring journey to the audience through big silver screen. And this time a film on “Real-life Kargil girl Gunjan Saxena” played by Janhvi Kapoor is ready to win the hearts of the audience.

The movie is from the house of Producer Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and teaser of the same has been released on June 10. The film was supposed to be theatrical release but amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, theaters are shut across the country, so the makers of the films have announced to go through OTT platform Netflix for release. However date of release is yet to be confirmed. Producer Karan Johar took his Instagram account and shared that “Her inspirational journey made history. This is her story. Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, coming soon on Netflix,”

Coming to the plot of the film, it is a biopic on Indian women pilot, Gunjan Saxena, being one of the first two Indian pilots who operated in the Kargil war zone in the year 1999, flying Cheetah helicopters. Janhvi Kapoor has stepped into the shoes of Gunjan Saxena in this film and as the posters were released; her fans were stunned with her looks and much eager now to watch her in the movie.

The former IAF pilot Gunjan Saxena while sharing the poster of the film on her Instagram expressed her gratitude and admired director Sharan Sharma and Janhvi Kapoor for portraying her life on a big screen and making people know about her journey during wartime.
