Her mother's name is Melanie Sloan from the Bronx and her father's name is Karsten Johansson. Her sister, Vanessa Johansson, is also an actress by profession. Her twin brother's name is Hunter Johansson. Scarlett Johansson first appeared as a child artist in Off-Broadway play. She made her acting debut with the film North but she got recognition with Manny & Lo (1996). With the play A View from the Bridge, she made her debut in Broadway and also received Tony Award for Best Featured Actress.
Early life
Scarlett Johansson did her schooling at PS 41 which is an elementary school in Greenwich Village, Manhattan. At the early age of thirteen, her parents separated and she started living with her maternal grandmother, Dorothy Sloan. From childhood only she has keen interest in acting and dancing. She also took tap dance training. At the beginning, she also got enrolled at Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute and started auditioning for commercials.

Fantasy comedy North was the first film by Scarlett Johansson. She was seen in minor roles in Fall and Home Alone 3 in the year 1997. She got a major break in the film The Horse Whisperer opposite director Robert Redford. Later she appeared in My Brother the Pig and The Man Who Wasn't There. She played a strong role in the black comedy Ghost World. During the period of 2003-2004, she transitioned to adult roles. In 2003, Scarlett Johansson appeared in Lost in Translation and the drama Girl with a Pearl Earring. With these films, she was recognized as the most demanding actress.
In 2004, The Perfect Score, A Love Song for Bobby Long, and A Good Woman were released. Her live-action animated comedy The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie was close to her heart and the film was commercially successful. Scarlett Johansson’s next collaboration with MCU was The Avengers in which she played the role of Black Widow. The year she signed Spike Jonze's film and she won the Best Actress award for the film.
From 2014 to 2020, Scarlett Johansson gave major hits. She continued the role of role as Black Widow and was seen in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. The further series of MCU were released in 2015 and 2016, Avengers: Age of Ultron and Captain America: Civil War. In the films, she once again portrayed the role of black widow.

In 2021, she portrayed her role as a Black widow in a solo prequel film. The film of 2021 was Sing 2 in which she played the role of Ash.
Scarlett Johansson started dating actor Ryan Reynolds in 2007 and the couple got married in September 2008. Unfortunately, they got divorced in July 2011. After that Johansson married Dauriac in 2014 and they separated in 2016. She married Colin Jost in October 2020. She gave birth to their son in August 2021.
