A Green Signal to Films, Teleserials Shootings from Maharashtra Government
Permission for resumption of shootings for films, teleserials, OTT, advertisements etc with immediate effect by the Maharashtra government.
There comes the happy news from the Maharashtra Government for films, TV serials, advertisement, OTT etc as the Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray gave permission for shooting with immediate effect. The decision was applauded by Bollywood bigwigs producer Ekta Kapoor, filmmaker Ashoke Pandit, and actor-director JD Majethia.
Ekta Kapoor took her twitter account to express her gratitude with a post, “My sincerest gratitude to the honourable @CMOMaharashtra Uddhav Ji, for allowing us to begin work in a phased-out manner and special thanks to Nitin Vaidya and Adesh Bandekar for their relentless efforts to help the industry return to work, with the new guidelines that keep health above all else.”
JD Matheia said the decision came as a huge relief and said, "Now we will reach every household and bring happiness and smiles to everyone with new content. This was a significant decision. It'll bring cheer all across."
A 16 paged set of guidelines has been issued by the state government initiated under #MissionBeginAgain which has to be adhered to by the film industry.
The guideline addresses measures to mitigate the risk on sets with casting and artist management, trailers, crowd control, production officers, handling of equipments, physical distancing, actors and junior artist, contestants for non-fiction shows, staffing, shoot management, catering department, wardrobe, onset communication and travel which has to be minimized with at least one month stay and quarantine for 14 days after return.
Applications for resuming shooting are to be submitted to the Theatre and Cultural Development Corporation at the Dadasaheb Phalke Film City, Goregaon, or to Maharashtra Films, or the district collectorates concerned across the state. After scrutinizing applications a green signal for the shooting proposals will be issued by concerned authorities.
