Kannada actress Jayanthi has hospitalized at a private hospital in Bengaluru

Actress Kamala Kumari is known by name Jayanthi and also a popular actress in Kannada film industry has been rushed to a private hospital after she faces breathing difficulties and severe asthma. As per reports she was taken by her son Krishna Kumar. Further, it is been reported that she has been put on ventilation and her health is stable now. She was tested for COVID-19 and was reported negative for that and she is responding well to the treatment. Earlier rumour was spread about her death, but her son confirmed that it was false news.

After the announcement of lockdown all over India, she was stuck with her son Krishna Kumar at a hotel in Hosapete, near Hampi. After that she returned to Bangalore in an ambulance. Later on she was shifted to her home in Bangalore for some health problems. Her son some times before reveled that she is suffering from asthma from last 35 years and uses inhalers for the same.

Talking about her filmy career, she has worked in more than 500 movies in different language including Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam. She is recognized as the most bold and beautiful actress in Kannada cinema and also she was honoured with the title "Abhinaya Sharadhe" in the film industry. She has worked with many famous stars including M. G. Ramachandran, Gemini Ganeshan, Velli Vizha and many others. She was also awarded for many of her outstanding performances in movies. 

Doctor Chakravarthy, Sumangali, Aggipidugu, Kondaveeti Simham and ‘Pedarayudu’ are some names of Telugu films were her work was really appreciated. Looking on her personal life, she was married to Peketi Sivaram, who is a film director. They were together for a few years, but then they were separated.
