Web series XXX season 2 streaming on OTT platform, produced by Ekta Kapoor has been controversial due to some objected scene that relates with an army officer personal life. People expressed their anger against the scene and considered that it is an insult of the Indian army. Some of the people accused Ekta Kapoor mentioning it to be “anti-national”
One being such outrage, the producer Ekta Kapoor on this apologized if they have hurt the sentiments of people unintentionally.
She also revealed that the scene has been deleted and said that we deeply have respect towards Indian Army both as an individual and a team. Their role to our safety and well-being is great.
She strongly took the threat of rape she is receiving and cyberbullying after this controversial case. A video can be seen where she is hitting back to a user who has used abusive words against her and her mother. She stated that she will stand up against cyberbullying and said that if any bona fide army institution asks me to apologize for it, I will willingly do it.
YouTuber and a Big Boss contestant Vikas Pathak was first to lodge a police complaint against her and her mother Shobha Kapoor. He said that the series has insulted the Indian Army, their uniform, the national emblem and the colonel tag. There was another police complaint at Gurugram’s Palam Vihar police station and also an FIR was filed in Indore and Madhya Pradesh. Strong objections were also received from Martyrs Welfare Foundation (MWF) against the show mentioning that the army soldiers sacrifice their life and the producer has portrayed wrongly about Army men’s wives.
