Here's Everything We Know About 'Money Heist' Returning For Seasons 5 And 6 on Netflix

After the mammoth success of Netflix, Money Heist’s fourth season, Jesus Colmenar has confirmed that there will be season Five upcoming soon, followed by Season Six.

Netflix's quarterly report registered the massive success of Money Heist’s fourth season having a viewership of a whopping 65 million across the globe. However, a part of the victory of Money Heist has to be attributed to the COVID-19 lockdown, as when the entire world has been in a self-imposed lockdown because of the growing threats of Coronavirus, the popular series 4th season streamed on April 3rd.

For those who are unaware, in 2017 Money Heist was at the edge to get closed. Yes, the show was first streamed on Spanish TV channel Antena 3. All the endeavours were futile to gather viewers. That's when Netflix stepped in and the rest is all known.

Now as the series has a huge fan following around the globe, fans have been eagerly waiting for an official announcement of further seasons. Now, it has been confirmed that season 5 will soon be streaming on Netflix.

According to Marca the Spanish site, Netflix the streaming platform has given the "green signal" to the fifth and sixth seasons. However, Netflix the OTT platform is yet to confirm the same.

Earlier season five was scheduled for release on April 5, 2021, and season six to follow the same year. However, due to the current situation of lockdown, the release dates of the two seasons are not yet confirmed. Therefore, for time being we are all left with our laptops and smartphones going through the theories and watching all the four earlier seasons repeatedly.
